Live Concert Photography: Reliant Tom at Rockwood Music Hall 6/26/21
The past few weeks have been rather busy in both my personal and professional life: The Brooklyn Nets were in the NBA Playoffs and although they got eliminated in the second round, I’ve been following the rest of the postseason. I followed a little bit of the Stanley Cup Finals. And of course, as a Yankee fan, I’ve been following the season rather intently despite the fact that I generally find this year’s team to be boring and bad.
Thanks to science and vaccines, I’ve been able to have something of a social life again, which I’ve been relishing. And most importantly — for this site, at least — live music indoors has been a thing. I’ve been to my first indoor shows since March 13, 2020. Honestly, at times, it has made the past 15-16 months feel like a collective fever dream; but as someone, who has spent half of his life in darkened rooms listening to DJs, bands and artists of all stripes perform, I’ve missed it so very much.
Late last month, I caught Reliant Tom at Rockwood Music Hall. Their set featured new and mostly unreleased material that will appear on the act’s forthcoming third full-length album, including their latest single “When We Were Young.”
