Live Concert Photography: Sound Type Festival at Asian Arts Initiative 7/2/24: Centenny Gzz with YATTA and sub.tle

I’m currently in Philadelphia for the fourth installment of Asian Arts Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writers Workshop. Of course, the show must go on as much as humanly possible. Thanks post scheduling — and thanks WordPress.

Seriously though, let’s get to the business at hand. Early last month, I was in Philadelphia for the third installment of Asian Arts Initiative’s Sound Type Festival and Music Writers Workshop. And as it turned out, I wasn’t the only New Yorker repping hard: The showcase featured Centenny Gzz, a collaboration with Geng PTP, a.k.a. King Vision Ultra and Dreamcrusher, and PTP crew members YATTA collaborating live with sub.tle. As I wrote in the promotional material for the event, “KING VISION ULTRA and the PTP crew offered a night of sublime beauty, joy and catharsis through tweeter and woofer rattling bass, skittering beats and abrasive walls of sound.”

Check out some photos below.
