Live Concert Photography: The Love Supreme
Brooklyn Bowl
December 21, 2015
Led by Tim Pioppo (vocals/band leader) and John Weingarten (keys/musical director), the Brooklyn-based 12 member ensemble The Love Supreme, which features a hype man, a rotating cast of local musicians and vocalists is the sort of band that’s difficult to pigeonhole as their sound touches upon old-school soul, classic Motown, rhythm and blues, rock, psych rock and garage rock — and for a live set that includes covers of classic material and 60s-inspired originals. Just the other day, the 12 member ensemble was at the unofficial JOVM home office, Brooklyn Bowl as part of the venue’s Holiday Throwdown for friends, clients, journalists, industry folks and the like. Naturally, because it was a holiday party, it included some great food from the folks at Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken and a holiday-themed photobooth with one of the coolest Santas I’ve ever seen.
Check out a few photos below.
