Over the last few years, Louisville, KY has quickly developed a reputation for being the home to one of the country’s burgeoning music scene, complete with a rather eclectic collection of acts — including White Reaper, a trio of Tony Esposito (vocals/guitar), and twin bothers Nick Wilkerson (drums) and Sam Wilkerson (bass). Across the South, White Reaper has a reputation for a blistering, eardrum shattering psych rock. however, the latest single “Cool” owes a debt to garage rock, 60s rock and psych rock — sure it’s  scuzzy but it does contain quite a catchy chorus.

The official video, which was shot in a gorgeously cinematic black and white takes place in some dirty, small basement – the sort of setting where you can catch a moment that was so awesome that you’ll remember it for the rest of your days. And interestingly, it’s quite fitting for the song.
