Performing and recording under the moniker Little Boots, Victoria Hesketh’s debut effort Hands, which was released in 2009was a Gold-selling album. Released earlier this year, Nocturnes is Hesketh’s long-awaited sophomore effort. Produced by former DFA Records co-founder and second-in-command Tim Goldsworthy, the material on the album is heavily influenced and informed by 90s house, 70s disco and futuristic electronica – often by paying homage to them.

“Motorway,” the first single from the album had a chilly minimalism meant to evoke a foggy, noirish feel and whereas the the latest single “Satellite” is a bit more densely layered and pulsates with a raw, seductive sensuality right below the surface.

Hesketh is finishing up a North American tour which will include stops in Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and Austin, TX for the Fun Fun Fun Fest in November.
