Released through Sub Pop Records, Metz’s self-titeld album landed on number 12 on this site’s Best of 2012 list, thanks in part to blistering, face-melting, sludgy power chords, pounding drums and howled vocals. When you hear “Get Off,” one of my favorite tracks from the album, you can tell that this is a sound that lacks any subtlety – it’s balls to the wall, ass kicking music, plain and simple. Get in that mosh pit and start kicking ass!
