Singer, songwriter and producer Ebony Bones had her stage name coined  by the Damned’s Rat Scabies. And much like countless other musicians, her love of music developed at a very early age – in particular, she was exposed to a wide variety of music at her father’s Brixton Market music stall. Some of her influences include Siouxsie and the Banshees, Public Enemy, Brian Eno, Quincy Jones, Fela Kuti and more. With the August 5th release of her sophomore effort, Behold, A Pale Horse, Ebony Bones continues her reputation for a sound that effortlessly and playfully meshes and mashes genres. 

“Mystery Babylon Balloon,” is the first single off the album and you’ll hear Bones’ sultry vocals over buzzing, swampy and bluesy guitars and ambient noises. It’s a sexy track with a bit of moody, goth-like atmospherics reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees and Concrete Blonde.
