Some time ago, a fellow blogger did some research based around several references within Ice Cube’s It Was A Good Day,“ and he determined that the particular day Ice Cube was referring to had to be January 20, 1992 – the one day that Yo! MTV Raps was on; that there wasn’t smog in Los Angeles; that the Lakers beat the Supersonics; and that there wasn’t a murder in Los Angeles. So if that were true, "Happy It Was a Good Day,” Day everyone! Maybe you should celebrate by having a breakfast with no hog or getting with a girl you wanted to fuck since 12th grade …

Seriously though, “It Was A Good Day” is a beloved classic that puts me in a good mood whenever I hear it, so why not post it today, right?
