Swedish electro pop trio DNKL (pronounced dunkel) have received quite a bit of attention internationally for their single “Battles,” a single which bears a resemblance to the work of Beacon – in the sense that the track is comprised of skittering percussion, swirling electronics, icy synths and forlorn vocals fed through reverb that evoke a sense of lonely regret.
