TEEN, the Brooklyn-based quartet of sisters Teeny, Lizzie and Jane Herships and Katherine Lieberson released their Carolina EP earlier this year, and on that album the quartet actively made an attempt to simplify their recording process by playing only what they could physically play in a live setting.  Generally, the material on the album has a buzzing, psychedelic amusement park ride/circus show feel to it that stems from the use of grinding organ in the background.

Just as they announced their appearance at this year’s CMJ Festival, the band released, "Big Talk", a song which comes from the Carolina sessions. Interestingly, the song sounds as though it could have been a B side to any of the singles on the EP but with an airier, dreamier quality.
