The acclaimed French electronic producer Kavinksy released his critically praised album, OutRun earlier this year. “Odd Look,” one of the singles off the effort and it manages to be a futuristic view from the past, in a similar fashion to countless contemporary acts including Jonas Reinhardt and others. It’s minimalist but it still has a cinematic feel– it sounds as though it could be in the soundtrack for a movie (perhaps in the introductory credits).

The official video, which came out on the day that Kavinsky was releasing a remix EP, titled Odd Look EP is a visual delight as it pays homage to several 80s movies where an unusual hero comes in to save a beautiful damsel in distress.
