The duo of Isle of Rhodes — Rob Farren (vocals, keys) and Colin Behram (drums) — have received quite a bit of attention after the release of the first single off their forthcoming EP, Affirmation Caravan, “Islands”; in fact, the animated video for “Islands” received critical praise from several other places across the blogosphere. The animated video for “Islands” is frankly a visual delight. However, their second single, “Tic Toc” is one of my favorite singles this year, as it manages to evoke the smooth, effortless polish of 70s AM radio rock. 

The official video continues the band’s visual presence as it features the band performing in front of group of women doing some Bob Fosee-inspired dancing. It actually adds a surreal air to the proceedings.
