The folks at Lyricist Lounge in concert with Summerstage hosted their now annual show featuring two of hip hop’s legendary DJs and producers – DJ Premier and Pete Rock. Last year, they had a power outage that cut the show short and both DJs were extremely apologetic for it, promising fans that they’d make this year’s show even more memorable. And that did they – after about an hour of both DJs playing a historical tour of soul and old school hip hop, they bought out some special guests. One of those special guests included one half of M.O.P. And of course, they did a rather raucous version of “Ante Up." 

I’m not a videographer and there are some technical issues with the video for which I deeply apologize for; however, what it will show you that the energy suddenly went off the charts. Incredible, y’all.
