The folks at Stones Throw Records were put on to Myron and E with the Soul Investigators when they released a bunch of soul and funk 45s through Timmion Records. Stones Throw Records signed them last year, and their Stones Throw debut, Broadway will see a July 2nd release.

“If I Gave You My Love” is the first single from their forthcoming album, and it has an old school soul sound — as though it could have either been released by our friends down at Nashville’sG.E.D. Soul Records or as though it could have been released in 1963. 

The video is shot in a lushly gorgeous black and white, with lighting that creates a very specific mood. I’ve watched it every time, admiring the shots and the lighting. Check it out.
