The Ugly Facade is the brainchild of Jeremiah Johnson, an Austin, TX-based vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter and producer. “Scend,” the second single off the Ugly Facade’s recently released album, Sinking Anthems manages to show an obvious Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Ministry influence as the song is a buzzing, noisy, power-chord heavy bit of industrial rock. However, the song actually reflects Johnson’s unique production style – Johnson uses distorted amplifiers, less-than-perfectly microphones instrumentation and synths run through old tubes to create a scuzzy, murky sound.
