This past year has been a huge year for Dam Funk. Earlier this year, he released an incredible collaboration with Slave’s Steve Arrington – a collaboration that brought attention and new fans to a cult status, funk legend who had kind of disappeared. But today marks the release of Dam Funk’s biggest and most attention grabbing collaboration, is his recent work with Snoop Dogg in a group they’ve both dubbed 7 Days of Funk. Of course, with a name like that it should be obvious that they’re focusing exclusively on – funk. “Hit Da’ Pavement,” is the latest single and video off  their self-titled debut, and it’s a swaggering bit of G-funk era hip hop that also manages to possess elements of 80s R&B.
