This year’s RiverMusic FestIval down in Asheville, NC also included an opening set from the Nashville, TN-based soul act, AJ and the Jiggawatts. The forty five minute or so set is comprised mostly of the material off The Drop – an album that sounds heavily influenced by 70s funk and soul. The material swaggers and struts with a fierceness that’s just blistering. Check out “Have a Fit” and “Pimp Decisions,” two of my favorite songs off the album.
