TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was born on this day 53 years ago. We tragically lost her at the all-too young age of 31 back in 2002. Her work with TLC is one some of the commercially successful, beloved work written or recorded in the past 30 years — and it’s inspired a collection of girl-led and girl-based pop groups since.
Happy birthday, Lisa! Happy birthday, wherever you are!
