Gang of Four co-founder and guitarist Andy Gill was born on this day 68 years ago. Gill is one of the pioneers of the jagged and angular guitar sound that’s a staple of post-punk. I’d make an argument that Gang of Four may have been one of the more influential bands of the past 60 years.
