George Clinton has had a towering influence and impact on modern music. Without Clinton, we wouldn’t have funk as we know it; we wouldn’t have hip-hop or just about any other genre we’ve listened to or love over the past 50+ years.
I’ve grown up knowing and loving Clinton’s work with Parliament Funkadelic, and I suspect you have, too. So let’s celebrate Mr. Clinton as he turns 81 today. Happy birthday, sir! May there be many, many, many, many more!
