“Waste Away,” is the first single off Brooklyn trio Dead Stars’ forthcoming EP, High Gain, which will be released on June 4th through Uninhabitable Mansions Records, and the track sonically should probably remind you of 90s grunge – Pavement, Dinosaur, Jr., Nirvana, and even the Foo Fighters. and others. Listening to this track brings back memories of trying to make mixtapes off of radio broadcasts back then. 

The band has a couple area gigs including 5/9 at 285 Kent; 5/16 at Piano’s; their CD Release Party at the Grand Victory on 6/17; and 7/11 at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
