Zohra Atash and Joshua Strawn were once the creative force behind the multi-member chamber music ensemble Religious to Damn. Atash and Strawn had felt with multiple members the writing process slowed the creative, recording and live performance processes. Also along with their original influence of chamber music, the duo had wanted to incorporate their additional influences of electronica and hip hop.  And as a duo, Azar Swan is decidedly electronica – “In My Mouth,”  the latest single off the In My Mouth/Over 7" that Pendu Sound Recordings recently released as part of their Pendu Single Series is a big, club-banging track that sounds as though it should owe 80s and 90s freestyle and house music a great debt.
