Crater is a Seattle, WA female production duo, whose been praised by Gorilla vs. Bear, Dazed and Confused and other blogs for a sound that’s been described as “big, romantically ominous, industrial-leaning electro pop.” Indeed, as you’ll hear on the duo’s debut single “Crater Head,” the duo’s sound definitely has a cinematic quality to it; however, in some way the track bears an uncanny resemblance to White Prism, Doprah and even dimly to Portishead – in other words, it has an deeply anxious, creepy feel while being ethereal.
The official video has a dance troupe performing a routine that not only shows the beauty of the human form, and emphases both the song’s ethereal nature and it’s anxious vibe.
