French DJ and producer Simon Delacroix writes, records and performs under the moniker the Toxic Avenger. Delacroix has developed a reputation for a sound that fuses club-ready, pulsing electronica with a pop sensibility – in some way, it reminds me quite a bit of St. Lucia or Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, thanks in part to the slick production style and layered synths. “Romance and Cigarettes” is the first single from Delacroix’s forthcoming sophomore full-length Romance and Cigarettes which will drop on October 8th (it’s the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut, ANGST). The track is a collaboration with Anglo-French singer Jose  Reis Fontao. 

The single will be available on July 2nd, and it’ll include a radio edit, an extended LP version and a remix from French producer Demon. So be on the lookout for it.
