The past few days have been extraordinarily busy: The past four days I’ve been covering the fourth — well, technically the third, I guess? — edition of The New Colossus Festival. There’ll be a couple of interviews with some great up-and-coming artists, who were in the country for both New Colossus and SXSW, as well as live concert photos and some thoughts on the festival. So be on the lookout for that in the upcoming days and weeks.
But in the meantime, back in 2021 I was at BRIC House in Downtown Brooklyn for two of the three nights of BRIC‘s annual BRIC Jazz Fest. The festival’s third and final night featured a jam session with Louis Cato and friends; the legendary Fred Wesley and The New JB’s; acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer Madison McFerrin; and singer/songwriter Linda Diaz.
Much like the previous post, I’m not sure why I didn’t post this before. But as always photos are below.
