Julie Kathryn is a New York-based singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer and producer, whose critically applauded solo recording project I AM SNOW ANGEL has received praise from the likes of Huffington Post, Indie Shuffle, Magnetic Magazine, Creem Magazine, Refinery 29, All Things Go and others for “fluorescent beats and emotionally charged melodies.” Additionally, the up-and-coming New York-based producer and artist is s a sound designer for Ableton and Splice.com, as well as a co-founder of Female Frequency, a musical collective dedicated to empowering women and girls in the music industry. Kathryn’s highly-anticipated full-length MOTHERSHIP is slated for a January 2019 release, and the album which was recorded in a cabin in the wintry Adirondack woods, is a concept album that touches upon themes of isolation, longing, love, paranoia and the paranormal.

Citing Sylvan Esso, Bjork, Portishead, Stateless, Radiohead, Empress Of, Glass Animals, St. Vincent, Frank Ocean, Talking Heads, Sia, Goyte and others as influences, Orth integrates live, rock-like instrumentation with electronic production. Her latest EP, Wake You balances radio-friendly, hook-driven pop with socially conscious, politically driven material meant to inspire listeners to make a positive change in the world.
