Mighty Mystic, who is Jamaican but is now based in the US is a prominent name in the American Reggae scene – probably because his sound employs elements of rock, reggaeton, hip-hop and pop, while still remaining remarkably true to reggae’s traditional sound. And in particular Mighty Mystic’s lyrics which contain reggae’s traditional messages of peace, love, struggle, perseverance with astute political and social observations, which you’ll hear on his latest single  "War (Rumors of War)“ off his forthcoming effort, Concrete World. The track manages to remind me a bit of Bob Marley’s ”War (No More Trouble)“ in the fact that both comment on the ridiculous and violent folly that war really is.

Performing with the likes of Lee "Scratch” PerryBarrington LevyBuju Banton, Steel PulseDamian Marley and countless more, I think that you’ll probably be hearing quite a bit more about this dude in the near future.
