New Audio: Panaviscope Shares Breezy “Tu veilles”

Panaviscope is a Swiss producer and multi-instrumentalist, who has developed a reputation for being restlessly prolific. Late last year, I wrote about “De l’autre côté,”a slick and woozy synthesis of hip-hop, electro pop centered around glistening spaceship-like synth arpeggios, skittering tweeter and woofer rattling thump that features guest spots from rising Montréal-based pop artist and JOVM mainstay Thaïs and Alvin Chris, who both prove that they’re budding superstars with self-assured and seemingly effortless performances.

The Swiss producer and multi-instrumentalist’s latest single “Tu veilles” is breezy bit of psych pop featuring a glistening synth-driven melody, twinkling Rhodes and gently padded drumming paired with plaintive and ethereal vocals. Sonically “Tu veilles” sounds as though it could have been released sometime in the 70s — and reveals a similar attention to craft.
