The latest edition of Desert Daze will take place between October 10 2024 – October 13, 2024 in Lake Perris, CA. The year’s festival features what may arguably be the most sonically diverse lineup in the festival’s history with artists from the worlds of psych rock, hip-hop, punk, indie rock, electronic, jazz, metal and much more.
Friday, October 11, 2024 will be headlined by rising Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter Alex G, the incredible JOVM mainstay Thundercat and hyper pop outfit 100 Gecs.
Saturday, October 12, 2024 will be headlined by Jack White, just on the heels of his recently released new album, No Name. The day will also feature, the acclaimed, reunited prog rock outfit The Mars Volta and Fleet Foxes.
Sunday, October 13, 20924 will be headlined by Cigarettes After Sex, who are just on the heels of two sold-out nights at Los Angeles‘ Kia Forum. The night will also feature the legendary Liz Phair and beloved hip-hop legends De La Soul.
Some of the festival’s special appearances will include pioneering riot grrrl and punk rocker Kathleen Hanna will read from her Ne
w York Times bestselling memoir Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk in conversation with The Mars Volta’s and At The Drive-In‘s Cedric Bixler-Zavala. Death From Above 1979 will play a set focused on You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine in celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary. Temples will also a play a set focused on Sun Structures, in celebration of the album’s 10th anniversary.
The festival is also known for excellent curation of their more intimate areas and art installations. Desert Daze will see the return of The Sanctuary, curated by Cristopher Cichocki and of The Outer Space with matinee and late night programming in the camping village featuring yoga, sound baths, live performances and more.
The beloved opening ritual in The Outer Space, The Thursday Night Welcoming Committee will feature White Fence, English Teacher, Peel Dream Magazine, Cumgirl8, JOVM mainstays Psymon Spine and more. The festival’s Closing Ceremonies will feature a set from Desert Daze co-founder Phil Pirrone’s collective jjuujjuu along with many of their friends.
