It’s been a busy summer of festival announcements y’all. Now, you may recall that last month Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (FME) announced the complete lineup for this year’s edition, which will take place September 3, 2026 – September 6, 2026 in Rouyn-Noranda, QC.
This year Rouyn-Noranda celebrates the 100th anniversary of is founding. And as part of the centennial celebration, FME along with Rouyn-Noranda announced today that they will present ÉrableRemix de soirée, a free, one-of-a-kind event that will turn 7th Street into a vibrant playground of food, music and art that will take place during the event’s closing night, September 6, 2026.
Part culinary show, part musical performance and part live concert and part visual installation, ÉrableRemix de soirée brings together chefs, DJs and VJs, who will create a festive live production inspired by flavors from around the world and Quebec’s cultural heritage.
Produced by Groupe Majjaz, Inc, and La Caragaison collective créatif, the concept is bold and exciting: four chefs from diverse backgrounds will take on the challenge of creatively and humorously proving that maple syrup originates from their respective home country. Each culinary creation by the chef will also become a live stage performance, enhanced by music, visuals and atmospheres remixed in real life. Audiences will be invited to enjoy a multi-sensory experience, where seeing, hearing and feeling are jut as important as tasting. And at its core, this event reflects FME’s and Rouyn-Noranda’s shared commitment to offer inclusive and accessible activities as part of the centennial celebrations.
The four chefs taking part Pasquale Veri, who appeared on the cooking competition show, Les Chefs!; Chefs de bois’ Jezz Pilote; Christophe Morel, master chocolatier and Melliuer Ouvrier de France; and Carols Sodji, a Rouyn-Noranda-based chef will be joined by Rouyn-Noranda-based DJ duo Passion_Partage and Bogotá-based DJ Rizomagic. Throughout the night, the musical world of the DJs will intertwine the chefs’ culinary creations while VJs Thomas Hodgson and Françoise Dancause will enrich the experience with visual projections created especially for the event.
The night will also feature live performances from The Sadies on FME’s 7th Street Main Stage and Taxi Girls on the Fizz Stage.
