Originally from South Jersey, the trio of Raccoon Fighter has done what countless bands have recently done over the last couple of years — move into Brooklyn and quietly began making a name for themselves in the crowded, Brooklyn indie rock scene with a bluesy rock and rock that actually sounds as though it owes quite a debt to 60s garage rock.
“Santa Tereza” is the first single from the band’s debut full-length ZIL which will see an October 1st release through Papercup Music.
The band has a couple of sets in the area including Saturday at Cameo Gallery, Sunday at the Silent Barn and an October 4th set at Cake Shop.
