Over the past year or so, I’ve been receiving an increasing number of emails from a number of labels, PR firms, band managers and even artists themselves. And more often than not, those emails are correct as far as my tastes and what I’m thinking of presenting to you folks.

Yesterday I received an email from Adam Alasdair, regarding his cover of the massively overplayed Lorde song “Royals”; however, Alasdair’s cover ads a murky and twisted industrial feel to the song, which evokes a deep-seated anxiousness and paranoia. It creates a vibe that Lorde probably never considered – almost turning it into a new song.
