Last week, longtime Daptone Records stalwart and incredibly talented trumpeter and composer Dave Guy played a record release show for his solo debut, Ruby at The Sultan Room in Bushwick. Guy was backed by an insanely talented backing band that featured Marco Benvento, Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss, Leon Michels among others — and guest spots from KIRBY and his Roots bandmate Black Thought.
