The Portland, OR-based duo of Soft Metals released their debut self-titled album back in 2010 through Captured Tracks, and the album was reportedly had a psychedelic sort of haze with spiraling synths and pop melodies. Their sophomore effort, Lenses will drop on July 16th but before that the band released the second single from the album, “In The Air,” which radiates with a cosmic glow while maintaing a propulsive ad drum beat, programmed by Optimo’s JD Twitch, backed with hypnotic, undulating synths.
