The past handful of days have been rather auspicious ones in music history:
- The 54th anniversary of Nate Dogg‘s birth was on August 19
- Led Zeppelin‘s Robert Plant turned 75 on August 20
- Isaac Hayes was born 81 years ago on August 20
- KRS One turned 58 on August 20
- John Lee Hooker was born 106 years ago on August 22
Alice in Chains‘ Layne Staley was born also 56 years ago today. We tragically lost Layne 21 years ago but his work with Alice in Chains will live forever.
Happy birthday, Layne! Happy birthday, wherever you are!
