Born and raised in the Los Angeles, CA area, Ian Evans, a producer and artist who performs under the moniker Napolian, attended Taft High School; the same high school that claims famous alumni such as Ice Cube and Eazy-E. And naturally, some elements of gangsta rap have filtered through his sound – in fact, “DARPA,” the first single off his long-awaited debut Incursio has a hip-hop swagger meshed with industrial electronica, thanks to swirling and whirling electronics, menacing keyboard chords and room rattling drum and bass.
