FooR is a collective of producers, musicians and DJ’s from the UK’s South coast. Several of the the collective’s members have produced a number of original tracks and remixes under a variety of aliases and in a number of different electronic music genres.

The collective’s first single was a reworking of a British garage house classic, “I’m Sorry” that featured the vocals of Cameron Bloomfield and the single received airplay on MistaJam’s 1Xtra show, BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM. And as a result, the single also received over 77,000 plays on Soundcloud.  They then followed that up with remixes with Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and Ultra Nate’s “Free” and both remixes landed number 1 on the DJ City UK downloads chart, which helped build the group’s reputation outside of the UK.

Their latest single “Giv My Luv” is a club-friendly house track comprised of layers of glistening and slowly cascading synths, skittering percussion and pairs it with a soulful yet glitchy vocal sample and room-rocking bass. Interestingly, the song reminds me quite a bit of old school house music – the sort that Hot 97 used to play back in the late 80s but with a slick, super modern production.
