Founded by electronic music artist and producer JulIo Bashmore, Broadwalk Records has quickly developed a reputation for releasing high-quality electronic music from the likes of Bashmore’s own solo work, Maddslinky, Kowton, Funkineven and others. Their forthcoming release from Velour, “The Tower/Plato’s Retreat” is an incredibly sensual bit of electronica that feels and sounds hedonistic and absolutely decadent as you’ll hear on “The Tower.” However, “Plato’s Retreat” manages to add elements of industrial electronica, which pushes the song towards the 23rd century – all while retaining the decadent, hedonistic feel. If these songs don’t make you want to dance and continue dancing until you’re a sweaty mess, then i don’t know what would.
