The last time I saw King Gizz was before our world completely melted into our current techno feudalistic hellscape. So, I was looking forward to jamming out and headbanging with 12,000 or so friends both new and old. Plus, I’d be shooting Gizz with new gear — and added bonus first stadium show shoot for your boy. Forest Hills Stadium, y’all!

I was in college when the Metallica “S&M” album came out. (Shaddup youngsters!) So, I’ve been to roughly 2,000 shows as a journalist and fan but somehow, I had never seen a rock band with an orchestra live. Simply put, that was fucking awesome!

I know I’ve said this many times before, but there are few things more transcendent in our world than seeing someone’s face light up when their favorite artist or band plays one of their favorite songs live.
