Mixed Blessings will be the debut full-length effort from the Peckham UK-based psych pop trio, Beaty Heart. The album which was recorded over the summer, and is slated for a March 2014 release, was produced by Dave Eringa and has the band reportedly stripping down their sound quite a bit from their previous releases, while retaining the percussiveness and playfulness of the first batch of singles. “Lekka Freakout” is the first single from that forthcoming effort and it’s a blast of summer as the days and nights get cooler. And claiming influences such as the Beach Boys,Olivia Tremor Control and others, the band’s sound bears a similarity to Animal Collective but airier, more tribal and yet more playful – almost guilelessly so.

The official video, which was directed by the band, is a wild, psychedelic trip, and it was released just before the official release of the “Lekka Freakout” single on November 11th.
