New Audio: FRACTILES Share Bruising “Call Me Slick”

German electronic music duo FRACTILES — Christoph Schauer and Max Filges — features two internationally acclaimed musicians and film composers, who combine their individual energies into an uncompromising sound that meshes elements of industrial electronica, EBM and dark electro pop.

The German duo’s first singles “No Death Place” and “Control” amassed early attention and significant buzz. They quickly developed a reputation as a must-see live act, with their club and festival shows defined by a precise and brutal energy. Building upon a growing profile, they went on their first German tour last year, opening for Sierra Veins.

Currently, they’re working on additional singles and their highly-anticipated full-length debut. But in the meantime, the duo’s latest single “Call Me Slick” is a bruising yet club friendly, industrial banger rooted in arena rock-like bombast, rousingly anthemic hooks and choruses that seemingly channels Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, and the recent Nine Inch Noize album.

The Joy of Violent Movement is a completely independent and completely D.I.Y. media outlet. Over the course of this site’s 15+ year history, I’ve used my fiercely independent stance to cover music with an eclectic and global perspective that a lot of other publications just don’t have — and will likely never have.

To that end, I could use your support to continue to keep bringing you my unique global perspective on music. There are a number of ways that you can support this work.

I’ve been told that some people would prefer to make a one-time donation because it’s easy and less of an obligation. So, if you’re able to make a one-time donation, there’s a donation box below.
