News/Announcements: Totally Tubular Festival Announces 2025 Lineup and Dates

After last year’s successful run, the 80s New Wave tour Totally Tubular Festival announces its second edition this summer, and again features artists that exploded in the pop culture zeitgeist in the 1980s as a result of the high rotation of their music videos on MTV (back when MTV actually played music videos).

Much like the festival’s inaugural year, this year’s lineup features artists who have enjoyed a steady rise in popularity in recent years, with their music having a lasting impact. Tour creator and JPA agency founder Jon Pleeter calls the TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL “the best ‘80s party on the planet. The audiences last year fully embraced the spirit of the tour and were wildly enthusiastic. The party continues this summer.”

The 2025 tour launches June 27, 2025 in San Jose, CA and runs through July 24, 2025 in Indianapolis, IN — and includes a July 12, 2025 stop at Hammerstein Ballroom.

The lineup will feature Right Said Fred, Men Without Hats, Haircut100, The Tubes (7/10/25 – 7/24/25), The Motels, Animotion (6/25/25 – 7/5/25, 7/10/25-7/24/25), The Escape Club (6/25/25 – 7/5/25, 7/10/25-7/24/25) and Musical Youth (who won’t appear on the 7/6/25, 7/13/25 and 7/18/25 dates). Men Without Hates and The Tubes return to the tour this year, while show closer Right Said Fred haven’t toured the States since the early 90s.

The festival’s second edition will see the festival expanding into new markets including Anaheim; Virginia Beach; Bethlehem, PA; Huber Heights, OH; and Indianapolis while keeping its compact set times highlighting each act’s major hits.

The tour will also offer an expanded merchandise line at shows and online, including limited edition/collector’s items.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 31 at 10am local time. Head to www.totallytubularfestival.com for more information on tickets.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go towards food banks locally in each market.
