Producer, DJ and electronic artist Joel Ford has collaborated with the likes of Autre Ne Veut, Ducktails and Oneohtrix Point Never in a duo they dubbed Ford and Lopatin but the release of the Fugitive mini album marks Ford’s solo debut. And interestingly, Ford’s sound is crafted from classic 80s and 90s thriller movie samples, which gives his material a cinematic feel and yet it has a very propulsive, synth-based dance club-ready feel, as you’ll hear on his latest single “Breathe” which features Leanne Macomber’s with whom Ford collaborates with in electronic act Ejecta.
