- One of the most beloved figures of the Outlaw Country movement,
- Merle Haggard was born 84 years ago on April 6
- Robert Glasper celebrated his 46th birthday on April 6
The legendary and incomparable Billie Holiday as born 109 years ago today. Along with Ella Fitzgerald, Holiday had the most unique and range of any vocalist to have ever lived. Heartbreak and longing somehow just felt more visceral.
