This past week has been rather auspicious for music history: Led Zeppelin‘s John Paul Jones‘ birthday was on the third; R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe’s birthday was the fourth; David Bowie’s birthday and Elvis’ birthday were yesterday. And today, of the greatest guitarists in the history of recorded music turns 78 — 78!
