The legendary June Carter Cash was born 95 years ago today. Her importance and influence on country music has been towering: The Carters pioneered what we know as country, and were among the most popular acts, thanks to their syndicated radio program. And as a result, The Carters’ — and in turn, June Carter Cash’s — on the genre has been towering.
