I was heading to the Antics Magazine launch party in Ridgewood when I learned that the great Kris Kristofferson died. My first thought was “Man, ‘Sunday Morning Come Down’ and ‘Me and Bobby McGee’ are two of the greatest songs ever written.”
He had a helluva career as a songwriter, a solo artist and as a member of The Highwaymen, the outlaw country supergroup that included Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. Plus, he was a great actor, as well. Rest easy, sir! Long live, Kris Kristofferson!
