Friday night was a quiet night. I was at home, watching the Cotton Bowl between the University of Texas and Ohio State University and working on some posts when I learned that Sam and Dave‘s Sam Moore passed away. He was 89.
As a member of Sam and Dave, Moore is part of some of the greatest and most beloved songs ever written and recorded. I have fond memories of listening to many of those great old songs whenever we drove around, listening to an AM soul station out of Monmouth County, NJ.
Long live, Sam Moore!
