As I’ve mentioned a number of times on this site, I receive an enormous amount of email from a variety of music industry folks, and I recently received an email about an electronic music artist an producer by the name of NeZoomie, who composes “funky, groovy and catchy music,” as he simply states on his website. And with his latest single “Magic Touch” featuring the silky smooth vocals of J.T. Roach, NeZoomie lives up to that description. Comprised of layers of cascading synths, a steady and propulsive rhythm and a sound that bears an uncanny resemblance to both the slickly produced R&B jams of the New Jack Swing era and of French Horn Rebellion’s goofy homage to that period, “Magic Touch” is a seductive bit of electro pop that also manages to be one last warm blast of summer.
