Chrissy Murderbot’s Loose Squares Records recently signed the Canadian Ghetto House/Juke/Futurebass act Philthkids. The Sweatpants EP is the first release on Loose Squares and the EP is a skronky, big booming bass sound that should sound familiar for those who love drum and bass house. (I’m personally reminded of a Drum and Bass party I went to around the Fourth of July weekend at the Delancey with a friend.) And if it doesn’t wake you up and get you moving from that tryptophan coma, nothing will.
I suspect that if you were to play this shit at a party, people would lose their minds as the EP’s three tracks are extremely high tempo.
